"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, to the Jews first and also to the Greek" Romans 1:16
Real Answers Disciple (Resource) Center is a non-profit organization that reaches out to the community with the gospel of Jesus Christ at special events, like the Maricopa County Fair; we also set-up at colleges, front of Wal-Mart, and every Saturday at the Park West farmers market in Peoria (101 fwy & Northern). Our ministry distributes free of charge: DVD's, CD's, books, booklets, and tracts (funded by donations). Our goal is to proclaim the true gospel of Jesus Christ and not any particular denomination.
We are seeing our nation, churches, communities, and families becoming more divided; unless we come together with the hope outside of ourselves, we will continue to divide.
Real Answers has a threefold vision:
One of the scariest verses in the bible in found in Matthew 7:21-23 "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!' (“You who practice sin”)
As we look at the state of our nation and talk to many people about Christ, most say they know Christ and say they have a relationship with Him, yet we are one of the most Godless societies in the world. We kill countless babies through abortion and pornography and homosexuality are now celebrated in our culture. Sin is glorified in our nation through music, movies, television, and the internet and yet most still claim to be Christian. We are a nation that claims to know the Lord, yet we openly practice sin. Why?
We believe it is because of the modern Gospel. The majority of our churches today preach a false gospel, because their focus is filling seats. Fruit has become numbers, rather than Godly character. If they soften the gospel, people don’t get offended and they will stay in church. The Gospel has become a simple prayer asking Jesus in our hearts, which is found nowhere in Scripture. Jesus never told people to accept Him into their hearts, none of the disciples ever asked people to receive Jesus into their hearts, nor did Paul the Apostle. What the bible does say, is to repent and believe the gospel.
The Gospel means good news, but if we do not understand the bad news first, the good news does not make sense. How do we understand the bad news? The bad news is understood by using the law of God. Unless we see and understand how we have sinned and are guilty before a holy God and are deserving of His wrath, we will never understand our need for a Savior.
“Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.” Romans 3:19-20
“Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.”
Galatians 3:24
Let us repent and get back to the true gospel. Let us stop preaching only the parts of the Bible that make us feel good, but let us preach the whole counsel of God, both the Law and the Gospel, and stop tickling ears giving false assurance, so that sinners can see their need for a Savior.
Many pastors and church leaders will exhort the flock to go and share their faith, but how many churches equip the saints for the work of the ministry? What is the work of the ministry? Is it not to advance the kingdom of God by preaching the gospel?
We are taught by the church how to use apologetics, but it is rare to find a church that teaches how to preach the true gospel. We have been deceived to believe that the Gospel is getting people to say a prayer to receive Jesus in their hearts. We equip and disciple the saints by using books, videos, audio messages and most importantly by coming alongside them as we go and put the great commission into practice. We teach how to first use the law as the tutor to show the need for a Savior THEN explaining the good news. Christ died to satisfy God’s just wrath for our sins bringing redemption.
Today the church has separated the written Word of God from the Christ Living Word.
Many say they know Jesus but they don’t know His Word. Many say they obey Jesus as Lord, but they don’t obey His Word. Many claim to have a relationship with Jesus, but don’t read or even believe the Bible is His Word.
“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17
Again we believe this is due to the modern gospel, telling people to receive Jesus into their hearts, so that Christ has become a mystical being. When we truly receive Christ, we are receiving His Word. When we reject His Word we are rejecting Christ.
“He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him — the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.” John 12:48
“And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, "Be saved from this perverse generation." Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.” Acts 2:40-41
“Now the apostles and brethren who were in Judea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God.” Acts 11:1
